In April 8, an exhibition dedicated to the memory of Andrei Filippov, the Russian artist, opens in Chania (Crete, Greece). This project is a result of a cooperation between Chania Museum of Contemporary Art and Crete Orthodox Academy. The museum director Ioannis Archondakis became the author of the idea and the exhibition’s curator. Stella Art Foundation has been collaborating with the artist for many years, showing his work in personal and group projects. The Foundation co-organized the new project too.

In November 2011, Stella Art Foundation presented Andrei Filippov's works at State Museum of Modern Art — Costakis Collection (Thessaloniki, Greece) as part of the collective exhibition of Moscow conceptualists called "Literati" (Andrei Filippov - Yuri Albert - Konstantin Zvezdochetov), which reflected the tendency of "booklore" in contemporary art. The exhibition became part of the 3rd Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art’s program (2011).

In June 2012, Kolymbari, on the square of Crete Orthodox Academy, the monument "Gnomon" by Andrei Filippov was opened. The work is a sundial, whose gnomon is shaped into a half-figure of a double-headed eagle: the Byzantine emblem, which later became the Russian Empire blazon. The monument was a gift from the artist and Stella Art Foundation to Crete and the Academy. The event was accompanied by Filippov's personal exhibition named "Shadow of the Sky".

The letter from Ioannis Archondakis, Director of Chania Museum of Contemporary Art, to Alexander Rytov, Director of Stella Art Foundation:

“Alexander, hello! Greetings from Chania (Crete).
