The Stella Art Foundation presented an evening of poetry with the famous American poet and translator, John High, on May 16th at 18:30. To a packed audience, John High read his poetry and his essay, “A Few Words on Methodology in Translating Osip Mandelstam and Nina Iskrenko.” After giving his own reading and presentation, High read translations of poets from the infamous Poetry Club group of writers, of whom he was made an honorary member at the time of the fall of the Soviet Union.

Special award of Stella Art Foundation was established together with Marina Noel’s Foundation (Greece). Stella Art Foundation has taken part in the official programme of the52nd Venice Biennale. Throughout the summer, the “Ruins of Russia”project (photographs by Stas Polnarev, video installations by DmitriLikin, curator Vladimir Levashov) dedicated to the demolition of thelegendary “Russia” hotel in Moscow, one of the key buildings of theSoviet and the early post-Soviet era, will be exhibited in the San Staepavilion on the Grand Canal.
